World Rider

Lucinda and her famous little mare Headley Britannia together won 3 of the world’s total 6 CCI4* FEI events, these being Burghley 2006, Badminton 2007 and Kentucky 2009. Headley Britannia is the only mare to have ever won all three events. Lucinda and the amazing diminutive mare Headley Britannia still hold the record for the best ever finishing penalty score at 4* level of 32.3. She had seven foals by embryo transfer. The first two foals by Jaguar Mail, Britannia’s Mail and Little Britannia were born while both parents were competing at the Beijing Olympics. This is also a first. At the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Lucinda won a team silver medal and finished tenth individually before the second show jumping phase.

2002 was the first year Lucinda rode for Australia having changed from representing Great Britain at junior and young rider level. In 2002 the Australian national anthem was played three times for Lucinda due to Lucinda’s wins at Punchestown, Blenheim and the CDI Grand Prix at Hickstead. 2012 was the year Flying finish came to the forefront to take over from Headley Britannia and at only ten years, and in his third season of eventing, he qualified for the Olympics and represented Australia in London.

In March 2013 Lucinda had a serious rotational fall at the first event of the season at Tweseldown resulting in 6 broken ribs, 2 punctured lungs and a smashed collar bone. She was hospitalised for two weeks but was back competing less than three months later at the CICO*** Houghton Hall International, helping Australia take the bronze medal in the nations cup and finishing 12th individually. Three weeks later in June 2013 Lucinda and Flying Finish headed to Luhmuhlen 4* finishing a credible 10th having done an excellent dressage and a solid clear cross country, all be it slower than usual, to gain their qualification for the world equestrian games in Normandy this August 2014. In August 2013 Lucinda won with Flying Finish at the CIC3* Blair Castle Horse Trials, CIC3* resulting in being the current Scottlish Champaign.

Lucinda was the coach to the Hong Kong Team and coached them to win their first bronze medal in 2014 at the Asian Games.

Always out helping and training riders young and old and offering advice and support, Lucinda and her horses have a huge band of loyal followers. Her energy and perfectionism has enabled many riders to achieve beyond their dreams and she is regularly asked to do clinics in the UK, Hong Kong and Europe.

“I have felt a big difference with the HRP WING Saddle Pads with both my horses! My mare can be very sensitive in her lower back as well as in her girth area. I have noticed with the WING Saddle Pads she has been more soft through her back and receptive to coming through. I have noticed similar effects with my gelding who easily tenses up when being ridden. After I started using the WING Saddle Pads he is more receptive to coming through faster and softer than before. I love the thorax pad which helps keep both my mare and gelding happy and more comfortable when doing up the girth. Both my horses feel so much happier and are performing beautifully. I did my first 1.20m show jump class with my mare and we went double clear to then go clear again in the jump off! She felt amazing through the whole round and she used herself way more than she has in the past. I do believe it is because her back isn’t experiencing pressure on her lumbar spine and she feels like she can move properly and comfortably. I love my HRP WING Saddle Pads and I am thrilled with the results! Thank you so much HRP for inventing such an amazing saddle pad that helps my horses not only feel better but also perform better! I recommend them to anyone, see and feel the results for yourself!“
